Orcas & Whales: Birdwatching Cruise Information

A rare opportunity to observe wild orcas, whales, and seabirds up close
Spend a moving moment encountering wildlife in the waters of Shiretoko, surrounded by the great outdoors with views of Kunashiri Island.
Enjoy a special experience you can only have here.

Bear Cruise Information

Cruising along the Shiretoko coastline by boat offers more than just the chance to spot brown bears; it provides a unique opportunity to encounter wildlife against the backdrop of the dynamic ocean while taking in the rugged cliffs—a pristine natural landscape inaccessible by road—making it a truly unforgettable experience unique to Shiretoko.

Drift Ice Bird Cruise Information (Winter)

This is a winter-only cruise that takes you into the world of drift ice.
Out on the drift-ice-covered sea, Steller’s sea eagles and white-tailed eagles appear right before your eyes,
allowing you to photograph them perched on the ice or taking flight with powerful wings.
On the early morning departures in particular, you can watch the sun rise over Kunashiri Island.
The tranquil sea, the drift ice, and the eagles bathed in the morning sun create a truly breathtaking scene.

※ Please note that drift ice and wildlife may not be visible depending on natural conditions.

Washi no Yado: Birdwatching Guide

From the observation hut, you can quietly observe the wild birds that inhabit Shiretoko.
At night, you can enjoy the experience in a particularly serene setting, taking in the sounds of nature.

※ Please note that since wild animals live in their natural habitats, there is no guarantee that you will be able to see them.
